About Paramount Big Spring
Narrow strips define Big Spring: solid hickory, 3 inches wide. Each plank is 3/4 inch thick, in random lengths up to 80 inches, with a 4 sided bevel and a hand-sculpted surface. The finish is urethane with aluminum oxide in a matte sheen. It comes in five colors.
Big Spring is nailed or stapled down, and Paramount lists it for on or above grade, so it is not meant for a below-grade basement. Living rooms, dining rooms and bedrooms are the usual fit.

Questions about Big Spring
Is Big Spring solid or engineered?
Solid. It is a full 3/4 inch plank of American hickory, not a veneer over a core. It is nailed or stapled down and listed by Paramount for on or above grade, so a below-grade basement is out.
How wide are Big Spring planks?
Three inches wide, up to 80 inches long, and 3/4 inch thick. A narrow strip gives a floor with more board lines than a wide plank does. See the five colors in the showroom.
How much is Paramount Big Spring hardwood in Peoria, IL?
The flooring is $7.85 per sq ft ($188.40 per box). Your installed price adds professional installation, with tear-out and haul-away included. Start your estimate to see the price for your rooms, or call (309) 233-0534.
